Visitor information

Goldstein Forest Cemetery is located at Unterschweinstiegschneise 1, 60529 Frankfurt am Main. The grounds cover about 7.9 hectares and contain approximately 4,400 burial plots. Tram routes 12 and 19 serve Waldfriedhof Goldstein stop immediately beside the northern boundary.

What makes this site distinctive

The forest cemetery opened on 18 May 1950. Its burial fields were integrated into the existing trees of Frankfurt’s municipal forest. A woodland section for urn graves now complements the conventional grave types. For visitors, the woodland setting and municipal ‘Unter Bäumen’ burial grove define the site.
